What does
a Chiropractor
do?
Chiropractors
work with the bones and nerves of the spinal column and spinal
cord respectively. Chiropractors spend years of highly specialized
training in order to locate where misplaced spinal vertebrae are
impinging the nerves which travel down the spinal cord and out
through the spinal column to the muscles, organs and glands of
the body. After locating the vertebrae impinging the nerves (subluxations),
the chiropractor, using various highly specialized techniques,
is able to replace the misplaced vertebrae and thus release pressure
on the nerves. That is called a spinal adjustment.
Who should
go to a chiropractor?
Who
should go to a chiropractor? It depends on who you ask. For example,
if you asked a person who was relieved of migraines he'd say,
"Anyone with migraines should see a doctor of chiropractic."
A child who no longer wets his bed will say, "Chiropractic
is for bedwetting." "Anyone with menstrual problems
should go," says a woman who suffered from menstrual cramps.
Someone saved from back or disc surgery would say chiropractic
is for people with spine, back or neck problems. There are case
histories of people recovering from fatigue, digestive problems,
asthma and hundreds of other conditions.
Chiropractic
care will benefit anyone suffering from such symptoms as neck
and back pain, head aches/migraines, numbness in hands, sciatica,
post-auto accident pain, disc conditions, and scoliosis, to name
a few.
Why?
You may be
surprised to learn that doctors of chiropractic do not treat migraines,
bedwetting, menstrual cramps, backaches, the flu, or any other
ailment. The goal of the doctor of chiropractic is to awaken your
own natural healing ability by correcting the vertebral subluxation
complex, one of the deadliest, most destructive blockages of life
and energy you can suffer from.
By correcting the vertebral subluxation complex, the doctor of
chiropractic promotes natural healing, vitality, strength and
health.
